Pen:Chant #21 feat. Byron Vincent, Zoe Kyoti & Reece Williams!

When: Saturday, 9th September 2017 9:00 PM

This month, we present a special show in partnership with The Lowry at Paines Plough’s beautiful pop-up theatre-in-the-round space, Roundabout, featuring:

** Side-splitting word-slinger and one man superlative magnet Byron Vincent!**

Frequently found on your radio-waves and your telly-box (BBC R4, R3, Channel 4 etc.) Byron’s writing and performance is as socially and politically incisive as it is visciously funny.

“Always funny, often unsettling, Byron captures the underbelly of Britain’s dead end towns with unerring accuracy.” – Patrick Neate

** Spell-bindingly evocative singer-songwriter Zoe Kyoti!

Based in Manchester but born of Anglo-Austrian- Greek-Armenian heritage, Zoe’s unique brand of bittersweet folk, is laced with the spice of exotic far-flung places and the roots of jazz, country and blues.

Powerfully political yet pleasingly personable poet Reece Williams!**

As a member of Young Identity and Inna Voice, Reece has performed alongside Linton Kwesi Johnson, Jean Binta Breeze, Saul Williams, Kate Tempest and The Last Poets. He is currently working on an EP to be released in 2017 on Griot City (a new Independent Record Label he is launching) and a collection of poetry to be released in 2018.
